| Kold-Kote is the answer to your low temperature painting needs. A wonderfully versitle, highly elastic, pure acrylic pigmented coating. Pure acrylic remains more flexible and more breathable than typical elastomeric coatings making this product superior. Widely used on tilt up commercial buildings, cold seasons, and inclement climates. A high solid content, extremely flexible coating for wood, concrete or metal surfaces and roof surfaces such as asbestos asphalt tile, hot-mopped tar, elastomeric aluminum, galvanized metal roofs, and fiberglass and wood shingles. It is a high-build coating that provides long-term flexibility, resistance to salt water spray and pooling water and excellent adhesion to previously-coated surfaces.
A unique feature of Kold-Kote in white is its ability to reflect the suns heat which helps reduce air conditioning costs during hot summer months. It can actually lower the inside temperature of a structure by twenty degrees! An excellent product to use when coating a new roof for the first time or recoating an existing weather worn roof. This formulation permits application under forty degrees.
Intended for use on wood, concrete, metal and roof surfaces. Available in any of our standard colors or customs colors are available upon request. Brush, roll or spray it on. Apply the first coat at the rate of 3-5 mils (approximately 150 square feet per gallon), let dry and apply a second coat at the rate of 65-70 square feet per gallon to equal 10-15 mils coverage. Prime new wood with TS 307 Oil Based Primer. New Metal Surfaces should be primed with TS 900 Fabrication Primer. On new surfaces it is recommended that the first coat be thinned approximately 5-10% with regular clean tap water. The second coat does not need to be thinned. NOTE: TS 6500 is not recommended for walking surfaces. Thin with regular clean tap water only as necessary for even flow. Coverage is 65-70 square feet per gallon. Dry to the touch in one hour. |
