Here’s an economical oil based industrial grade
primer for a wide variety of application possibilities.. A good way
to begin when staining or tannin bleeding may be a concern. Our
oil-alkyd formulation gives this product excellent penetration over
wood and a variety of other surfaces. It provides exceptional hide
characteristics and resists mildew growth for extra protection and
longevity. Your finish coat will last longer and cover better when
using Top Secret’s Multi-Purpose Oil-Based Primer. Intended for use
on manufactured goods, equipment, exterior and interior walls,
woodwork, ceilings, plaster, drywall, brick, wood siding, aluminum
siding, galvanized metal and gutters. Use to establish a sealed
uniform surface for the application of flat, satin, semi-gloss or
gloss finishes. Ok for use with either oil based or waterborne
paints. Color: White. Available in quart, gallon or five gallon
cans.
Stats: Dries to the touch in one hour. Tack free in
1-2 hours, recoatable in 2 hours, dries hard in 4-6 hours. Apply by
brush, roller or spray. Coverage is approximately 200-300 square
feet per gallon, depending on the texture and porosity of the
surface. Apply by brush, roller or spray.
Recommended preparation: For best results remove old paint, loose
scale, grease, oil and contaminates. Sand, grind, bead blast or
power-wash prior to the application of any cleaner. All surfaces
must be thoroughly dry before the application of any primer, paint
or industrial coating. Recommend the use of
TS-117 Wash Primer
in all galvanized and
aluminum paint applications.
Thin & clean up: Cleans up with
TS-101 Thinner or mineral spirits.
Acceptable for use as: aluminum primer, etching primer, industrial
primer, metal primer, protective coating, rust preventative coating,
rust preventative, rust stopping primer or sandable primer. For use
with aluminum paint, aluminum coating, epoxy paint, epoxy coating,
fiberglass paint, heat resistant coating, high heat paint,
industrial coatings, industrial paints, industrial paint colors,
metal coating, moisture cure urethane, protective coatings, pipe
coating, Performance Coatings, rust preventative coating, urethane,
tank coating and zinc paint.
