Multi-Purpose Oil base Primer is a good way to begin when your
exterior or interior paint project when tannin bleeding is a
concern. Our oil-alkyd formulation gives this product excellent
penetration over all wood surfaces. It has exceptional hide
characteristics locking out stains once and for all. It resists
mildew growth for extra protection and longevity. Your finish coat
will last longer and cover better when using Top Secret’s
Multi-Purpose Oil-Based Primer. Intended for use on exterior and
interior walls, woodwork, ceilings, plaster, drywall, brick, wood
siding, paneling, metal and trim. Use it to establish a sealed
uniform surface for the application of flat, satin, semi-gloss or
gloss finishes. Ok for use with either oil based or waterborne
paints. Color: White. Available in quart, gallon or five gallon
cans.
Stats: Dries to the touch in one hour. Tack free in 1-2 hours,
recoatable in 2 hours, dries hard in 4-6 hours. Apply by brush,
roller or spray. Coverage is approximately 200-300 square feet per
gallon, depending on the texture and porosity of the surface. Apply
by brush, roller or spray.
Recommended preparation: For best results remove old paint, loose
scale, grease, oil and contaminates. Sand, grind, blast or
power-wash prior to the application of any cleaner. All surfaces
must be thoroughly dry before the application of any deck paint or
porch paint applications.
Thin
& clean up: Cleans up with TS-101 Thinner
or mineral spirits.
