TS-117 Pre-Wash Primer-Gallon

Pre-Treatment Wash Primer is a Chromate Polyvinyl Butyral Two-Component Etching Wash Primer that meets Federal Specification number MIL-P-15328. Zinc Chromate is added as an agent added to provide superior corrosion resistance. Zinc Chromate is highly toxic thus protecting the surface from proliferation of organic matter. It is intended to be used in combination with an intermediate primer. Not intended as a permanent protective primer in itself although some protection is afforded for a short period of time. Re-coat with primer and paint as soon as possible. Wash primer should be applied by spray no more than a fog coat, however, it may be applied byÿmeans of a light brush or roller coat at a dry film thickness of .00076 cm. to .00127 cm. This product is semi-transparent yellow-green, it is not necessary to hide the substrate.
