Recommended preparation: For best results remove old car paint, loose scale, grease, oil and contaminates. Sand, grind, blast or power-wash prior to the application of any cleaner or automotive primer. Steel: TS-5679 Phos-Pro Rust Converting Cleaner, etch bare aluminum with TS-695 Etching Cleaner. All surfaces must be thoroughly dry before the application of any car or truck paint system.

Application: Spray application is recommended for best results. The basecoat primer should be allowed to dry a minimum of one hour before recoating with subsequent automotive primer or topcoats. It should be applied to a dry film thickness between 0.3-0.4 mil. NOTE: This basecoat primer is designed for spray application over surface-treated metal or pretreatment coatings (See TS 117 Pre-Treatment Wash Primer). If used for dip or flow-coat application, the product suitability should be determined by the user.

Paint solvent & clean up: Use only with factory recommended thinner. Thin if necessary with TS-610 Lacquer Thinner. Tools and equipment may be cleaned with TS-610 Lacquer Thinner or TS-615 Wash Thinner.
