A high-grade sandable aircraft primer designed especially for application to fiberglass, iron or steel where easy sanding is a must. It sands easily to a glass-like smoothness in preparation for high performance aircraft coatings and lacquers such as TS-2032 Aero-Lac aircraft finish. This product is lacquer proof therefore a lacquer finish coat may be applied over it without the worry of lifting or bubbling. Intended for use over properly prepared surfaces. It is a premium-grade, high solid aircraft primer that not only acts as an effective rust preventative on steel but should be viewed as an integral component of any high performance aircraft coating system. Use on almost any interior or exterior steel and under most any aircraft coating. Spray application is recommended for best results. Color: White or Grey. Finish is low sheen.

Stats: Dries to the touch in 30 minutes, tack free in 1 hour, recoatable in 1 hour, dries hard in 2 hours. Apply by brush, roller or spray. Available in gallon or five gallon containers. Coverage is approximately 275-300 square feet per gallon @ 2 mils dry film thickness.

Recommended preparation: For best results remove old aircraft primer, aircraft paint, loose scale, grease, oil and contaminates. Sand, grind, blast or power-wash prior to the application of any cleaner. All surfaces must be thoroughly dry before the application of any aircraft primer or aircraft coating systems. Recommend the use of TS-117 Wash Primer in all aluminum aircraft paint applications. Steel: TS-5679 Phos-Pro Rust Converting Cleaner, etch fiberglass and aluminum with TS-695 Etching Cleaner.

Application: Spray application is recommended for best results. The aircraft primer should be allowed to dry a minimum of one hour before recoating with subsequent aircraft primer or topcoats. It should be applied to a dry film thickness between 0.3-0.4 mil. NOTE: This primer is designed for spray application over surface-treated metal or pretreatment coatings (See TS 117 Pre-Treatment Wash Primer). If used for dip or flow-coat application, the product suitability should be determined by the user.

Thin & clean up: Use only with factory recommended thinner. Thin if necessary with TS-610 Lacquer Thinner. Tools and equipment may be cleaned with TS-610 Lacquer Thinner or TS-615 Wash Thinner.
