TOP SECRET Aluminum is an aluminum pigmented alkyd specially formulated for aerospace applications. The color comes from finely ground aluminum particles. A permanent, heat shield is created with the addition of aluminum to the alkyd base. When used as an aluminum aerospace coating it provides exceptional performance and durability. Excellent for repairing rusted or deteriorated metals. Outstanding for use as a rust preventative paint or protective coating. It’s a semi gloss aluminum high performance aircraft coating for interior or exterior applications that can withstand temperatures up to 400 degrees F. In many applications it will prime and finish in just one application. It is resistant to grease, salt air, fungus, chemical fumes, gasoline, moist oils and has excellent leafing qualities. A fast-drying, easy-to-apply aluminum coating specially formulated to withstand high temperatures without discoloring or breaking down. Its aluminum pigmentation provides excellent rust preventative qualities to a variety of aircraft surfaces subject to harsh environments. It is ideal for flight surfaces, parts, tools, equipment and substrates subject to salt air environments. Recommended for use on the interior and exterior of engine compartments, motors, fuel and storage tanks and landing gear. Not recommended for continual water immersion.

Stats: Covers 300-325 square feet at two mils dry. Dry to the touch in 2-4 hours. Pot life: Not applicable * Very high in solid content so it will require reduction in most applications. Low temperature curing (as low as 20 F.) Available in quart, gallon and five gallon containers. Satin finish.

Recommended preparation: For best results remove old aircraft coatings, loose scale, grease, oil and contaminates. Sand, grind, blast or power-wash prior to the application of any cleaner or aircraft primer. Steel: TS-5679 Phos-Pro Rust Converting Cleaner, etch fiberglass and aluminum with TS-695 Etching Cleaner. All surfaces must be thoroughly dry before the application of any aircraft paint schemes.

Recommended primers: Wood-TS-664 Etching Primer. Fiberglass and aluminum materials-TS-117 Pre-Wash Primer in combination with TS-664 Etching Primer. Steel-TS-6390 Ever-Last Epoxy Aircraft Primer. Best performance will be obtained when used over lacquer resisting primers including TS-664 Etching Primer and TS-6390 Ever-Last Epoxy Primer. Recommend TS-1184 Zinc Chromate Primer for anti-corrosion protection.

Thin & clean up: Use only with factory recommended thinner, TS-605 Thinner. Clean all equipment thoroughly with TS-605 Thinner.
