Aero-Lac is a premium fast drying, light weight nitrocellulose
lacquer aircraft paint. An excellent choice as a protective coating
for use on virtually all aircraft surfaces, equipment and tools.
Favored for its beauty, light weight, ease of application and quick
dry time. It has excellent depth, luster and durability and a wide
variety of application possibilities. The very same government spec
product specified by the military, government agencies and
subcontractors. Conforms to government specification numbers TT-L-20
and TT-L-32. Aero-Lac high performance aircraft coating has been
formulated as a premium finishing system that will look new for
years. It provides beautiful, durable and long lasting protection to
a wide variety of metal, wood, plastic, carbon fiber and composite
aerospace surfaces. Nitrocellulose has been added for quick drying
and ease of use. Our formula is resistant to grease, salt air,
fungus, chemical fumes, gasoline and most oils. This product should
not be used over bare metal. Best performance will be obtained when
it is applied over metal surfaces properly pretreated and primed
with lacquer resisting primer and a lacquer clear coat.
Stats: Covers 400-500 square feet per gallon. Dry to the touch in 5
minutes, tack free in 12 minutes, recoatable in 1 hour, dries hard
in two hours. Pot life: Not applicable * Available in 200 stock
aircraft paint colors. Custom colors available on request for an
additional $10.00 per container. Available in low sheen, semi-gloss
and gloss. Available in quart, gallon and five gallon containers.
Recommended preparation: For best results remove old aircraft
coatings, loose scale, grease, oil and contaminates. Sand, grind,
blast or power-wash prior to the application of any cleaner or
aircraft primer. Steel: TS-5679 Phos-Pro
Rust Converting Cleaner, etch fiberglass and aluminum with
TS-695 Etching Cleaner. All surfaces must be thoroughly dry
before the application of any aircraft paints or primer.
Recommended primers: Fiberglass and aluminum materials-TS-117
Pre-Wash Primer in combination with
TS-664 Etching Primer. Steel-TS-6390
Ever-Last Epoxy Aircraft Primer. Best performance will be
obtained when used over lacquer resisting primers including TS-664
Etching Primer and TS-6390 Ever-Last Epoxy Primer. Recommend
TS-1184 Zinc Chromate Primer for
anti-corrosion protection.
Thin & clean up: Use only with factory recommended thinner,
TS-610 Lacquer Thinner. Clean all
equipment thoroughly with TS-610 Lacquer Thinner.
NOTE: Acceptable uses: aircraft paint schemes,
