Our innovative approach to epoxy
rewrites the book on epoxy itself. Like
the name says it’s a mono-epoxy that
eliminates the need for mixing multiple
components together making it easier to
apply than traditional two-component
catalyst cured epoxies. The self
leveling easy to use low odor formula is
non-toxic when dry, rock-hard and long
lasting! It is less likely to chalk and
yellow than old fashioned epoxy making
it a favorite of DIY and professional
pool refinishers.
You can expect more than 10 years of
maintenance free service from
Mono-Epoxy. Our innovative use of new
generation epoxy-ester resins provides
super adhesion, hardness, scuff
resistance and the chemical resistance
you expect when you typically think of
two-component epoxy. Superior VU
inhibitors provide better color and
gloss retention. It’s a work saver
because it is self priming on concrete,
masonry, steel and wood. It is easier to
work with and less hazardous to you and
to the environment than catalyst cured
epoxy pool paints. Film build and
leveling are excellent with Mono-Epoxy.
It can be brushed, rolled or sprayed and
it cleans up easily.
Stats:
Covers 250 square feet per gallon and
500+ square feet when sprayed. Dry to
the touch in 2-4 hours. Pot life: Not
applicable. Very high in solid content
so it will require dilution in most
applications. Low temperature curing (as
low as 30 F.) Custom colors available on
request for an additional $10.00 per
gallon. Available in one gallon and five
gallon containers satin and gloss
finishes.
Recommended preparation:
See
application instruction sheet for
details.
Recommended primers:
Recommend TS-664 primer on Gunnite. Self
priming on well prepared concrete,
masonry, wood and porous tile in two or
more coats. FOR BEST RESULTS ON NEW
CONCRETE: Thin first coat 20-25% with
TS-101 Thinner then apply second and
third coats undiluted. Recommended
primers: TS-6390 Ever-Last Epoxy Primer
or TS-664 Etching Primer.
Thin & clean up:
Use only with factory recommended
thinner, TS-101 Thinner. Clean all
equipment thoroughly with TS-101 Thinner
or Acetone.
NOTE: Our
performance warranty is not a guaranty of color fastness. Please
understand that pool chemicals and UV rays combine to reduce the
effectiveness of even the highest quality resins, colorants and
anti-fading ingredients. Dark colors fade sooner than lighter
colors. When dark colors are desired, we recommend ordering a shade
or two darker with the understanding that colors will lighten with
time.
