Silicone-Epoxy
is a new generation pool finish that gives you options never before
available. If you are looking for an epoxy swimming pool or fish
pond coating that is longer lasting, low odor, produces a nontoxic
finish, requires no mixing, holds up to pool chemicals, is easy to
use, acceptable for use on fiberglass, plastic, aluminum, tile,
masonry or concrete or and that is available in 100 colors plus
clear look no further – you came to the right place. This
revolutionary pool paint provides superior adhesion and higher
flexibility (conforms to ASTM-6221 and ASTM 6222) than any other
swimming pool or pond paint regardless of the manufacturer. Retains
its color up to five times longer!
Sure you say –
but will it last? You bet! You can expect more than ten years of
maintenance free service when you choose Life Guard Silicone-Epoxy.
Unlike typical epoxy it has a silicone alkyd base fortified with
epoxy-ester which produces unequaled adhesion, superior UV
resistance and tremendous flexibility which prevents cracking,
peeling and seepage. It is economical and easy to use! Anyone that
can roll up their sleeves can apply it without the hassle of mixing
multiple components together or hassles of limited pot life that
goes with it. It is less likely to chalk, fade or yellow like old
fashioned two-component epoxy making it a favorite of D-I-Y and
professional pool refinishers.
It is a self
leveling formula that is self priming on concrete, masonry, steel
and wood. Hardness, scuff resistance and chemical resistance are
comparable to two-component epoxy – but it is a whole lot easier to
use. It prevents seepage of water in pools and ponds. Resists
saltwater, chalking, chipping and peeling, alkali (from concrete or
plaster), swimming pool chemicals, growth of algae and molds,
minimizes collection of iron and dirt and is easy to clean. It is
economical to use because it spreads two times further than
competing products. May be brushed, rolled or sprayed and it cleans
up easily. Allows cold weather applications down to 30F.
-
Lasts longer
because it is a silicone epoxy-ester resin blend.
-
Produces a
finish that remains both hard and flexible at the same.
-
Stops the
movement of water and gasses.
-
Less likely
to yellow, fade or chalk.
-
Saves you
money because it covers 2X further than typical epoxy.
-
Self
leveling formula leaves no brush or roller marks.
-
Withstands
temperatures from -60F to over 400F, impacts to 500 PSI
-
Allows low
temperature applications down to 30F.
-
Lead free,
low odor and non-toxic formula.
-
Produces an
unusually beautiful finish available in 100 colors plus clear.
Stats:
Covers 425-450 square feet per gallon when brushed or rolled and
600+ square feet when sprayed on non porous surfaces. Dry to the
touch in 2-4 hours. Pot life: Not applicable. Very high in solid
content so it will require dilution in most applications. Custom
colors available on request for an additional $10.00 per gallon.
Available in one gallon and five gallon containers satin and gloss
finishes.
Recommended preparation:
See application
instruction sheet for details.
Recommended primers:
Recommend TS-664 primer on Gunnite. Self priming on well prepared
concrete, masonry, wood and porous tile in two or more coats. NEW
CONCRETE: Thin first coat 20-25% with TS-101 Thinner then apply
second and third coats undiluted. Revolution Clear may be applied as
a finish coat, however, it’s use is not required. Recommended
primers:
TS-6390 Ever-Last Epoxy Primer or
TS-664 Etching Primer.
Thin &
clean up:
Use only with factory recommended thinner, TS-101 Thinner. Clean all
equipment thoroughly with TS-101 Thinner or Acetone.
Accelerate/Harden:
TS-160 Accelerator/Hardener improves chemical resistance, hardness
and speeds the dry and cure times. Its use is required in all
applications where there is motorized or heavy foot traffic.
NOTE: Our
performance warranty is not a guaranty of color fastness. Please
understand that pool chemicals and UV rays combine to reduce the
effectiveness of even the highest quality resins, colorants and
anti-fading ingredients. Dark colors fade sooner than lighter
colors. When dark colors are desired, we recommend ordering a shade
or two darker with the understanding that colors will lighten with
time. |
